On the other hand, it produces a massive, bright 100-inch native 4K picture that no consumer LCD or OLED can offer. On one hand, it's a very expensive TV at $9,999.99. Hisense's Laser TV is a television by name, but it's really a short-throw home theater projector paired with a projection screen specifically designed for it. If you want a really, really big screen, you need a projection system (at least, until Samsung releases its massive micro LED display). They work very well, but there's a limit to how big a panel you can make before it becomes prohibitively expensive once you get past around 75 inches, price tags start to grow faster than the TVs themselves. This means the flat panels themselves produce light. Most TVs we review at PCMag are emissive displays.
